Wishing Well Shanghai Office

Wishing Well Shanghai Office

At a combined floor space of 15,000 square feet, and spanning 3 floors, we are currently the largest production house in downtown Shanghai. Production facilities include 2 fully equipped studios, camera and grip rooms, full service kitchen, digital imaging rooms, casting room, meeting rooms and client rooms where clients can rest on comfortable sofas while watching a live feed of their shoot.

Of particular note is our main studio – 1,600 sq ft of column-free floor-space, three stories high, with a built-in cyclorama and lighting catwalk. The entire studio floor is water tight and can be flooded to shallow controlled depths with its built-in rapid flooding and drainage capability.

Wishing Well Shanghai Launch

Beer maids, waiters with trays in hand serving mouth watering canapes, great music and more than two hundred guests from the advertising and media industry – it was a party not to be missed.

After months of careful preparations, we were finally ready to launch our newest office, Wishing Well Shanghai, on 28 October 2010. The festivities started at noon with the official ribbon cutting ceremony officiated by our Group Managing Director, Sebastian Tan. No less than eight Chinese lions graced the affair in raucous Chinese fashion, dancing all the way up three floors and down again, spreading good luck and chasing out the bad with drums and gongs banging away, with an exciting acrobatic display in our main studio for the finale.

Come evening time, we were filled with anticipation as the food and beer arrived and the chefs started to prepare delicious canapes and finger food for our guests. The first guests arrived at around seven and were given a tour of our facilities before chilling out with good German beer in the main studio, where the cocktail tables were, and where our now semi-famous wooden stools were on display. The stools, made from exotic Suar wood from Indonesia, and costing a pretty penny each, were to be given away as lucky draw prizes later that night. They are also an important element in our marketing campaign in Luerzer’s  Archive in 2011, featuring top Executive Creative Directors in the Hot Seat (more on that in a later post).

We never forget that Shooting Gallery is a team, so speeches by Sebastian and our new China Operations Director, Wei Xin was followed by a showcase of our regional creative work.

Being known for great work is great pairing for throwing a great opening party. And our guests heartily echo it as they leave…
